Wow, this book was so different than what I normally read by Andie Long. I'm used to the witty humor that has me laughing for pages. This book was very dark and there are very explicit scenes that may bother some.I thought Eden's story was one of rebuilding a life that has been torn down. I loved in the book how Xavier tells Eden that his mom says that life is what you write. If you don't like your story than you change the words. Have you ever heard anything more true than that? This book was a dark story and at the heart of it is a love story, but it's more about Eden going through something so tragic and dark and coming out on the other side of it and wanting to live her life. She doesn't simply want to exist, but to write her next chapter and live. Xavier patiently waits for her to move on and together they write their story.
This book was hard to read in some parts, but the story had me glued and reading it all in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. It was very well written. It was a great read.

Saviour eBook Andie M Long Michelle Dunbar Reviews
Wow! This is such a great book. It will make you feel a whole range of emotions. Eden is a young woman who has just finished college and she is unsure exactly what she wants to do next so she is considering a gap year. Eden didn't have a nice childhood. Raised by foster parents, they saw her as a monthly check and her foster brother acted like he couldn't stand her. About to lose the lease on her apartment, she decides to take a job as a live-in personal assistant to a married couple. They also ask her to be part of an unusual arrangement. Things go all right in the beginning but it doesn' take Eden long to realize she probably made a mistake agreeing to take the job. For Eden' the nightmare is just beginning. After not hearing from Eden for a while, Kara her best friend who is out of the country heads back to the UK. Kara and Xavier, who was a one night stand of Edens and also one of the last people to see her. What can they do to convince the police to look into the case? Will they be able to figure out what happened to Eden? This story had me hooked from the very beginning. I couldn't put it down until I was finished. I've loved all the books from this author that I have read.
OMGee, not what I expected at all, but so glad I read this book!
Eden is rather foot loose and fancy free when it comes to her love life, to say the least. Her best friend Kara has always been brutally honest with her, and everyone in general. Eden and Kara's banter ranges from humorous to heartwarming. Their great friendship shows through.
Xavier was meant to be a hook up one night stand for Eden and nothing more. Even though Eden and Xavier have thought about each other, nothing seems to evolve for them. Then Xavier goes looking for Eden, the one who got away, after their one night stand.
Eden takes her dream job as a house PA, or so it seems. She's in charge of the cleaning, meals, coordinating house renovations, oh and sexual toy to the homeowners. For promiscuous Eden, it's the perfect job, or so it seems.
The homeowners suddenly decide to take Eden on an all expenses paid, exotic island vacation. Kara hasn't heard from Eden and is very worried. Of course no one pays attention to her concerns. Xavier goes looking for the girl he can't seem to forget since that one night stand.
So many twists, turns and surprises, it will have you on the edge of your seat.
Being sexually promiscuous and bored with her usual one night stands Eden accepts a job as a House PA. She cooks, cleans and sexually services her straight bosses. They're are open to a sexual relationship with Eden. She thinks she got the perfect job, when something is too good to be true it usually is.
At this points you know things are going too smooth sailing and you're waiting for the big WTF moment, it hits and it's more shocking than you can imagine. Read with your eyes wide open.
* ARC PROVIDED BY THE AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW *
This was the first book that I have read from Andie Long and I wasn't sure what to expect especially with such a dark and difficult subject, but it was refreshing to see an author tackle real life issues and include some of the steps that happens AFTER while trying to process everything and start on the road to recovery.
The story is about a confused college student, Eden, who is trying to find something that she feels like has always been missing. She has an estranged foster brother and a best friend, Kara, she made in college as the closest things to "family" so she has been trying to fill this void with empty one night stands she meets in a local dance club. One night she meets a man at the club, Xavier a local business owner with his own previous relationship issues, that she feels a real connection to and it scares her so much that after wards she runs but fortunately neither one can forget the other.
Eden later takes a job as a live in assistant with other potential duties to a professional couple and that is where the real issues start. I don't want to provide any information that would spoil that book for you so I will stop there. During the book Mrs. Long touched upon the subjects of abduction / kidnapping, rape and assault in a detailed way, but she did not shy away or gloss over the recovery time or the impact to Eden or those that love her, which makes this a must read.
I know people that have unfortunately been assaulted and the author's portrayal of what was required for recovery, although different for everyone, was eerily similar on some steps for dealing with panic attacks, etc. I found myself right back there a couple of times as I helped support them while reading this book until I got caught back up into the overall arcing romance story. Needless to say I recommend this book with the caveat that if you have been a victim of kidnapping, rape, assault or something similar, this book maybe a difficult read.
I received this book from the author for free in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.
